KATHY SUE FAASSE JOSCELYN
OXFORD – Kathy Sue Faasse Joscelyn, 63 of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2014 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. She was born on July 26, 1951 in Paterson, NJ and adopted by Peter and Katherine (Tanis) Faasse. On August 23, 1975 she married Ross Joscelyn.
She is survived by her husband, Ross of Oxford; her son and daughter in law, Clayton and Heather Joscelyn and children, Nathan and Rebecca of Jersey Shore, PA; her daughter, Leslie Joscelyn and son Jakob of Norwich; her brothers, Henry and Iko Faasse of Greer, SC, Glynn and Doris Faasse of Haskell, NJ; her sister in law, Doris Faasse of Las Vegas, NV; her birth mother, Betty Jo Gruzas of St. Petersburg, FL; her other brothers, Wayne Dowhen of Belleville, NJ, Brian Dowhen of Carlstadt, NJ and her sister, Marcy Dowhen of Carlstadt, NJ.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, Peter and Katherine (Tanis) Faasse and her brother, Jesse Faasse.
Kathy was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central School. She worked at the NYS Veterans Home from August 6, 1987 until October 27, 2005 when she retired. She was a loving wife and mother and especially loved her grandchildren who brought her enormous amounts of joy. She was a New York State Notary Public and a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC in Greene. She loved to cook and had a collection of many cookbooks. She enjoyed her time on the computer with Facebook and E-Mail and communicating with all of her friends and family who she loved dearly. It was always the support from her family, friends, and her deep faith in the Lord who kept her moving forward.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 5:00 PM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will be in Fairlawn, NJ.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Friday from 2-5 PM.
