PATRICIA ANN ROTHWELL
PLYMOUTH – Patricia Ann (Pat) Rothwell, 80, a longtime and well known resident of Plymouth, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 11, 2014, at home with family at her side.
Pat was born on March 15, 1934 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of Daniel and Inez (Seitler)Parry. She grew up in the Warsaw and Hamilton area, where she attended local schools. On June 21, 1952, in Hamilton, she married Richard L.Rothwell Sr., of Earlville, who survives.
Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. She always put her family first showing her care and concern, support and love. When thinking of her, the first thing that comes to anyone’s mind is her infectious smile. She never forgot special occasions and was always sending cards, and letters, baking, and fixing lunches. She was always helping in the family business as co-owner of Rothwell’s Used Auto Sales. She took pride not only in her family, but also in her flower gardens. She was a very spiritual woman, who was devoted to her faith. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, which she attended regularly.
Pat is survived by her husband Richard Rothwell Sr. of Plymouth, James (Rocky) Rothwell and wife Denise of So. Plymouth, Richard Rothwell Jr. and wife Beverly of Binghamton, Carol Miller and husband Bruce of Norwich, Kenneth Rothwell and wife Maggie of Red Hook and Catherine Rothwell and partner Malena Edwards of Chatsworth, GA. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jeremy, Shad, Karie, Tricia, Jenn, Jason, Tim, Alyssa, Sarah, Glenn, Tessa and Caitlyn along with 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her grandson Eric and sister Bette VanDurme.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 am from St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph A. Bove, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 pm.
