BEATRICE E. CRANDALL
NORWICH – Beatrice E. “Bea” Crandall, 64, of Ripple Rd., passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 15, 1950 in New Berlin, a daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth Dye. She was a graduate of New Berlin High School and SUNY, Morrisville. On June 21, 1974, Bea married David Crandall in Sherburne. She held many jobs over the years, most recently she had worked at Colgate University in Hamilton for 15 years. She had also been a consultant and manager for Stampin’ Up. Bea was a lifetime member of the Iroquois Gun Club at Chenango Lake.
Surviving are her husband, David; her children, Christina and Louie Wilchynski of Norwich; Linda and Eric Scholl of Sherburne; Jeannette Crandall and her partner, Brent Burchill of Norwich; Jennifer and Rosario Greco of Syracuse; Dawn Ferguson of Afton; David and Ellen Crandall of Sherburne; Matthew and Nikki Crandall of Oneonta; a sister, Barbara Kane of FL; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Russell Dye of FL; Bernard and Nancy Dye of Norwich; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David Dye and a sister, Bernice Bush.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, August 28, at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St. Sherburne.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 pm prior to the service.
