PERMA L. MARRIOTT
EARLVILLE – Perma L. Marriott, 91, of East Main St., passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital, SNF.
She was born in Allentown, PA on September 15, 1922 a daughter of the late George and Elda (Hauser) Scholl and was a 1941 graduate of Allentown High School. On June 15, 1949 she was united in marriage to Fred W. Marriott. He predeceased her on January 31, 1986. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Earlville and been active on several committees at church. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and had served on the Earlville Cemetery Board. Perma was employed for over 20 years by the Sherburne - Earlville Central School System, retiring in 1984. Following her retirement she worked at Crouse Community Center. Perma was truly devoted to not only her family, but anyone who was in need of assistance.
Surviving are her two sons, Frederick G. and Victoria Marriott of Lyons Falls; Malcolm J. and Nancy Marriott of Earlville, two daughters Miriam and Mark Hill of Earlville; Hope Marriott and Don of El Prado, NM, a step daughter, Irene Moore of Niveveh, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandson, Sean E. Conley on August 10, 2014. Her brothers and sisters, Forrest, Richard, Samuel, Russell, Alma, Helen, Althea, J .Edwin and Lucille.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church, Earlville. Interment will follow in the Earlville Cemetery.
Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m., at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, NY.
In lieu of floral offerings, contributions may be made in her memory to, the Earlville First United Methodist Church; The Earlville Thrift Basket or The Hamilton Food Cupboard.
