AILEEN J. SIMPSON
ONEONTA – Aileen J. Simpson, 82, a resident of the Chestnut Park Nursing Home of Oneonta and a former resident of Norwich, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Chestnut Park Nursing Home.
Aileen was born in Norwich on Aug. 20, 1931 and made her home in Norwich and McDonough. She also had lived in the Rome area and returned to Norwich in 1978 until moving to Oneonta in 2009. While maiking her home in Norwich, Aileen worked as a production worker for CWS as well as the Chenango County ARC.
Aileen is survived by many close friends throughout Chenango County as well as her family at the Chenango County ARC.
Aileen was predeceased by her sister Mary Diamond of Schenectady.
A funeral service for Aileen will be held on Thursday, July 24, at 5 p.m. from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Earlville will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-5 p.m.
