ANNE MCCORMACK ERICKSON
LONG BEACH, CA – Anne McCormack Erickson, 58, passed away at her home in Long Beach, CA on July 5, 2014 following a two year battle against cancer. Born on July 30, 1955 in Troon, Scotland, Annie emigrated to the central New York area with her family at age 5. She married David W. Erickson on March 10, 1973. In addition to her husband, Annie is survived by her sons David E. Erickson of Los Angeles and Daniel M. Erickson of Las Vegas; her sisters Sandy Skok of Long Beach, Patty (Michael) Pendleton of Huntington Beach, CA, and Robyn and Roxanne Vaughn of Connecticut; nephews Michael and Rick Lent; and nieces Krista Murr, Kady Skok and Elizabeth Vaughn. Annie is predeceased by her parents, Campbell McCormack and Frances Vaughn and by her brother, John McCormack.
Annie, David and the boys relocated to several states as David’s career dictated, finally landing in
California in 1993. David then took a new job in Tampa, Florida in 2005, but returned to Long Beach in 2007 when they bought their original beloved home on Edith Way a second time! She became a naturalized citizen that year, also. She enjoyed the sun and surf, entertaining, traveling, watching cooking shows, and showering attention on her two Maltese, Winston and Churchill. A devoted wife and a doting mother, Annie will always be fondly remembered for her cheerful smile, her wry humor and welcoming manner.
