WILLARD BLINEBRY
NORTH NORWICH – Willard Albert Blinebry, 88, of North Norwich passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, July 14, 2014, at his home.
Willard was born on April 24, 1926 in Madison, NY the son of Albert and Evelyn (Chesebro) Blinebry. He worked for 40 years in transportation first as a driver and terminal manager with Cossitt Motor Express and NYS Terminal Manager for Hermann Forwarding.
Willard was an avid hunter and skeet shooter and was a founding member of the Iroquois Rod & Gun Club. He was also a life member of BPOE# 1222 of Norwich.
Willard is survived by his wife Marian (Stroud) Blinebry of No. Norwich, his daughter Donna Nichols and husband Kim of Oxford, step-daughters Joyce Zummo of Norwich and Janice Marburger and husband Ron of Philadelphia and his sister Dorothy Smith and husband Ed of North Norwich. Also surviving are his grandchildren Sean and Ashley Nichols, his step-grandchildren John Sehm and wife Laura, Matthew Sehm and finacee Courtney Manuszak, Lisa Nussbaum and husband Matt, his step-great grandchildren Cassidy, Jack Willard, Zachary, Sarina and Noah along with several nieces, nephews, cousins. Willard also has two extended families who survive, Dennis and Linda Frink of Webster Groves, MO, Joan and Jim Salanger of Baldwinsville and 4 special camping buddies Richard Kamsoke, Vic Rosenberg, Frank Sehm and Wayne McDonald.
Willard was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Charles and Howard.
Funeral services for Willard will be held on Friday, July 18, at 2 p.m. from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. David Kleinstuber, Methodist Clergy, will officiate. Interment will follow in the North Norwich Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
