SCOTT G. DENNISON
UTICA – Scott G. Dennison, 71, of Sunset Ave., passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Presbyterian Home for CNY in New Hartford.
He was born July 3, 1943 in Norwich, a son of Wesley Scott and Jane Giladett Dennison. He was a graduate of Sherburne High School and Syracuse University. Scott was a store manager for the Woolworth Co. in Herkimer until his retirement. He always enjoyed the companionship of his Great Danes. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.
Scott was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Sherburne; the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #33, Utica; and the TKE Fraternity.
Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, William C. and Judith Dennison of Landisville, PA; a nephew, William F. Dennison of Duncannon, PA; a niece and her husband, Marisa and Brian Couch of Schwenksville, PA; great-nephews, Noah Dennison and Gavin Couch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Classic St., Sherburne, followed by interment in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Friday from 6-8 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 10-11am prior to the service.
