PAUL V. ESTELOW
OXFORD – Paul V. Estelow, 74, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2014 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1940 in Norwich a son of the late J. Van and Charlotte (Sherwood) Estelow. On March 31, 1962 he married Judy Fleming, who survives.
Besides his wife, Judy, he is survived by his children, Steve and Dena Estelow, Brenda and Ken Seiler, and Kathleen and David Popovich; his sister, Mary Kiernan and his grandchildren, Kisha Estelow, Chelsea Estelow, Stevie Estelow, Katie Seiler, Rachel Seiler and Andrew Popovich. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Taylor, his brother, Richard Estelow and his granddaughter, Brandi Estelow.
Paul was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of Fort Hill Post #376, American Legion, where he had served as Commander and was the manager for the Legion Baseball team for many years. He loved watching sports, especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling and playing pitch with his sister Mary and his niece, Sandy Fowlston. He was a member of the Chenango County Council of the Arts and enjoyed acting in local Community Theater. He was a member of the Lake Ludlow Club. He liked to volunteer at the NYS Veterans Home. He was known for his visits to the local coffee shops for coffee and reading the newspaper.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Main St., Oxford with Rev. Bruce MacDuffie officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
