Betty Jean Schriber, 90 yrs old of New Berlin, NY passed away on June 20, 2014 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home, New Berlin, NY.
Betty was born on March 22, 1924 in Edmeston, NY the daughter of Howard P. & Irene (Dye) Talbot.
Her childhood was spent in Edmeston, NY where she was a graduate of Edmeston Central School. She was also a graduate of the Albany College of Business.
On June 1, 1948 she married Robert Schriber who predeceased her in May of 2007.
She was employed by Preferred Mutual Insurance Company until her retirement in 1982 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in New Berlin.
Betty is survived by her children; Gary Schriber of Scarborough, ME, Howard Schriber of Port Orange, Fl, Vicki Mulhair of Sherburne, NY and Pamela Haight of Hamilton, NY as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Vane Talbot in 1991.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY with Pastor Lyle Linder officiating. Calling hours will be held from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service, also at the Funeral Home.
The interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.
