Mary E. Graham


Mary E. (Law) Graham, 80, of Oxford Road, Norwich passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the RHCF of Chenango Memorial Hospital.
A life-long resident of the Smyrna and Norwich areas, she was born February 12, 1934 in Smyrna, the daughter of Glenn and Reatha Law. She attended schools in Smyrna and graduated from the Sherburne High School. On February 27, 1952 she married Harold Graham, who predeceased her in 2004.
Mary was a wonderful seamstress, and ran a store called "Mary’s Sewing Room" out of her home on the Oxford Road for approximately 12 years. Her special talents were creating gowns for weddings and special occasions, and her abilities to create beauty from fabric were well known across the county.
Mary is survived by her children; Linda Walker and her companion Richard Simmons of Texas, Carl Graham (Debbie) of Michigan, Laura Herrick of Georgia, Maureen Graham of Kentucky, Thomas Graham (Karen) of Norwich, Peter Graham (Mary Ann) of Florida, Theresa Graham of Florida. She is a survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as by her siblings; Myra Reeves, Syracuse, Laura Funk, Norwich, Edward Law, Norwich, Carol Hoffman (Joseph), Norwich, Larry Law (Bonnie), Constableville, NY, Lauren Law (Patricia) of Tennessee, and Richard Law (Elizabeth), Sherburne Four Corners.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Christine Atwater, her brothers, Jewell, Ronald, Kenneth, Art, Clair, and Marcene Law, and her sister Aldena Law.
Per Mary’s request, there will be no funeral services, burial will take place in the Pioneer Cemetery of North Guilford. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Chenango Memorial Hospital RHCF, 2nd Floor, 179 North Broad St., Norwich. Arrangements are being handled by the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, Norwich.
