Paul H. Lawrence


Paul H. Lawrence, 78, of New Berlin, NY passed away on June 16, 2014 at his home. Paul was born on March 21, 1936 in Pittsfield, NY son of Paul and Alta Bellows Lawrence. He spent his childhood in Pittsfield and the New Berlin area where he attended local schools. On June 30, 1956 he married Beatrice M. Card who passed away on September 25, 1996.
Paul worked at the Dairylea Milk Plant in New Berlin and Mount Upton, Kraft Plant in South Edmeston, I.L. Richer Co. in the maintenance department in New Berlin and Norwich and before his retirement, he worked at the Crystal Lake Camp Grounds. Paul was known as a great hunter of coons and rabbits and was a member of the Three Rivers Coon Hunters Association of Unadilla, NY. He was knowledgeable about hunting, guns and knives and also collected them. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Berlin.
Paul is survived by his two sons, Timothy and Joy Lawrence of New Berlin, Gary and Paula Lawrence of Burlington Flats, and one daughter, Sandy Lawrence and John Williams of New Berlin, as well as grandchildren, Randy, Megan, Paige, Sarah, Michaela, and Gabe.
Graveside services for Paul will take place on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin with Pastor Dan Baltich of the First Baptist Church, New Berlin officiating. The family invites friends to attend. Memorial donations may be made to Chenango Area Hospice, the First Baptist Church in New Berlin, or South Edmeston Community Church.
