Helen Shillieto, 85, of Burlington was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Chase Nursing Home, New Berlin.
She was born September 28, 1928 in Huntington, Long Island the daughter of Carl and Ellen Maria (Madsen) Green. She married Stanley Shillieto June 26, 1948.
Helen was a farmer’s wife raising cows and chickens. She was a member of the Woman’s Republican Party, the First Baptist Church of Burlington where she had served as church clerk for many years. Helen enjoyed her flowers, her many friends & the Busy Bee Quilting Club. She was loved by her family and community.
Her children Gordon William Shillieto, Mark Carl Shillieto, Linda Marie Misencik; her grandchildren Michael & Stephanie Shillieto; John James & Joshua David Misencik survive Helen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, in 2007 and her son, David Stanley Shillieto, in 1999.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home in Edmeston with Pastor Barry Davis officiating.
Calling hours will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Interment will be at the Burlington Green Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Burlington or Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care.
