George E. Eirman, 93 of McDonough passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2014 at his home. He was born on January 7, 1921 a son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Howell) Eirman.
He is survived by his wife, Elsa (DaCol) Eirman of McDonough; his son and daughter in law, David and Linda DaCol of Babylon, NY and his granddaughter, Laura Lee DaCol of Babylon, NY.
He was a graduate of Seaford High School. He was an aviation metalsmith in the US Navy for 6 years during World War II. He then was a civilian employee of the US Air Force for many years and retired from Pan-American Airways. He loved his home and gardens in McDonough. He was an accomplished painter and model maker.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 8:00 PM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with the Rev. David Hanselman officiating.
