CLARKE G. SUAREZ
CINCINNATUS – Clarke G. Suarez, 66, of Cincinnatus (Taylor), NY, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 9, 2014, while surrounded by his family.
Clarke was born in Cortland, NY on April 13, 1947, a son of the late Raymond and Jean Gibson Suarez. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Osco Robinson American Legion Post #617, Marathon. He retired from Midland Asphalt in 2012 and had worked various construction projects for over 30 years. Clarke was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Suarez, and his children, Brooks (Kandi) Monroe of Otselic and Eva (Brett) Crandall of Norwich. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Taylor, Adam, and Amber Monroe, Wyatt Ashcraft, and Alexis Crandall; his sisters, Dorothy DeMond of Cincinnatus and Kay Calvey of Binghamton; his brothers, Thomas Suarez and Carl (Sheila) Suarez, all of Florida; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many close friends.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no immediate funeral services. A time of remembrance and reflection of Clarke’s life will be held on his birthday, Sunday, April 13, 2014, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. at his home (4109 Suarez Road, Cincinnatus, NY). Expressions of sympathy in memory of Clarke may be directed to Caring Community Hospice of Cortland, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045.
