John A. Morgan


John A. Morgan, 87 of Campbell Road, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital, SNF, Hamilton.
He was born April 7, 1926 in Lebanon, NY, a son of William and Mildred Bryant Morgan. He was educated in Lebanon and Earlville schools and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. John married Eleanor E. Losee in Sherburne on June 26, 1948. John worked for the Village of Earlville DPW and retired in 1988. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, cutting wood, mowing his lawn and driving his tractor.
Surviving are his wife of over 65 years, Eleanor; a son, Bruce Morgan and Linda Schroer of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Nicole Lynn Peterson and Mickie Lee Farrow; and great- grandchildren, Jessy and Jameson. Also surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law Helen and Charles Rounds of Oneida; Mary Lou and Martin Moreira of Lebanon Center; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lindy Morgan of Waterville, Franklyn and Charlotte Morgan of Lisle, Joseph Morgan of Earlville and Shirley Morgan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was predeceased by his brothers William, Jr., Charles, Sr., James, Frederick and Richard Morgan and a sister, Patricia Monroe.
In keeping with John’s wishes there will be no callings hours or services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
