LOUISE M. DAVENPORT
SHERBURNE – Louise M. Davenport, 70, a 40 year resident of Sherburne, NY entered into rest Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Louise was the daughter of the late John B. and Rose Leveroni Casazza. She was born on August 20, 1943 in Hoboken, NJ. On March 27, 1971 she married Alan R. Davvenport who preseceased her on November 3, 1974.
Louise was a graduate of Saint Francis Grammar School, Hoboken, NJ and Saint Michael’s High School, Union City, NJ. She was employed by R.H. Macy’s in New York City from 1962 to 1971. She worked for W.T. Grants from 1971 to 1974.
Louise moved to Sherburne, NY in 1974, owned and operated a dairy farm for 32 years until 2006. She was currently employed by the Big M Supermarket in Sherburne, NY.
Louise is survived by brothers, John A. Casazza of Blooming Grove, NY, James G. Casazza and his wife Sharen of Blooming Grove, NY and Eugene P. Casazza and his wife Claudia of Washingtonville, NY.
Louise is also survived by four nephews, Steven Casazza of Ballwin, MO, John C. Casazza of Canton, GA, James Casazza II of Birmingham, MI and David Casazza of Cambridge, MA, two nieces, Susan Reich of Slate Hill, NY and Margaret Casazza of Birmingham, MI. A nephew Kevin Casazza predeceased her. Also surviving are grandnieces Alexandra and Victoria Casazza, Emma and Calli Casazza and one grandnephew Myles Casazza.
Friends may call on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home, 116 No. Broad St., Norwich, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Louise will be offered on Sat., March 8, at 10 a.m. from St. Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church, 31 East State St., Sherburne, NY, 13460.
Interment will be at a later date in the North Norwich Cemetery.
