Patricia L. (Patty) Monday, 52, a life long resident of Norwich, passed away Sat. evening, March 1, 2014, at her home with her family at her side.
Patty was born on Jan. 14, 1962 in Norwich the daughter of Elmer and Hilda Morse Hanson. She grew up in Norwich and was a 1981 graduate of the Norwich High School. She had previously been employed by Great American and for the past 12 years worked as a cashier for Wal-Mart.
Patty was a beautiful person with a pure soul who accepted everyone as they were. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind and loving individual.
On July 3, 2004 in Cazenovia she married Linn Monday who survives.
Besides her husband Linn of Norwich, she is survived by her children Christopher and Kyle Ewen of Norwich, Shawn Monday stationed in Quantico, VA, Rachel and Samantha Monday both of Norwich and her 2 grandchildren Ryan Monday and Paige Chase. Also surviving is her sister Audre Voght and husband George of Gloversville, her brothers Theodore Hanson and wife Antonia of Liverpool, David Hanson and wife Sandra of SC, Richard Hanson and wife Rose of Henrietta, NY and Gary Hanson and wife Kathy of Morrisville, PA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A funeral service for Patty will be held on Thursday, March 6, at 1 p.m. from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Earlville will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in the South Side Cemetery of Plymouth.
Friends may call at the R.J Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
