JEFFREY AITKEN
NORWICH – Jeffrey Aitken, 29, of Norwich, NY passed away unexpectedly in Ft. Meyers Fl. February 17, 2014.
The son of Robert Aitken and Denys Casella Meade, Jeffrey learned to live an adventurous life full of travel and was never shy about making new friends in new places. A perfectionist at heart with his work, Jeffrey’s chosen profession of tiling gave him plenty of opportunity to travel, which he used to his advantage, as he could be seen fishing the shores of the ocean, which he loved to see. Family was important to Jeffrey, which could be seen by his dedication to his children, as they were his life. He was an avid cook who took pride in his barbequing skills, which he used as another way of finding a way to get the family together. Aside from spending time with family and traveling Jeffrey could be seen out golfing with his dad, fishing, or watching the Buffalo Bills or Syracuse Orange play a game.
Jeffrey is survived by his two children Macie Aitken and mother Cassidy Aitken of Hinesville, LA and Kara Aitken and mother Rianne Hawkins of Norwich; his father Robert (Judy James) Aitken, his mother Denys (Terry) Meade of West Winfield, two sisters, Kimberly Aitken of West Edmeston and Kelly (Vondrekel) Whittington of Bunkie, LA, and a step-sister Jennifer Case of Onieda. He is also survived by his grandparents; Margaret Conine, Linda Aitken, Frederick Casella, and Rosalie Casella, as well as several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Taylor’s Country House, 297 State Hwy 320 Norwich, NY.
