Brock Diamond


 EARLVILLE – Brock A. Diamond, 35, of Williams Rd., Earlville, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Hamilton.
He was born March 21, 1974 in Norwich and graduated from Sherburne-Earlville High School in 1993 and also served in the U.S. Army.  He worked for Pacemaker Steel Co., Utica as a truck driver as well as had numerous other jobs throughout his life. He was not afraid of work. Brock was a very caring and compassionate person. He was always available to help others no matter what their needs. He would help with building projects, maintenance and even coaching. Sports was a big part of his life. Coaching was second nature to Brock, because he loved kids so much. He coached T-Ball in Sherburne; the Girls Softball Major League as well as anything else he was asked to coach. He never could say no. He always managed to work it into his schedule somehow.  He played on Lewis’s Softball Team of Earlville; he was former member of the Hubbardsville Vol. Fire Dept .and a member of the Teamsters Union Local #182 of Utica. Brock also enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing. Some how with all his activities, his work and family, he managed to turn an old church into a beautiful home for his family.
Surviving is his loving life-long companion Lisa A. Kent., his children Sage, Jade, Chelsea, Taylor and Jonathon. His parents Paul and Barbara Diamond of Earlville; his grandmothers Mary Diamond of North Norwich and Frances Winton of Norwich; sister Lisa Cole of Oxford; best friend and honorary brother, Brian Lenning of Hamilton, close friend and cousin,  Shawn Murray of Munnsville; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Irving Diamond and Benny Winton.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home 10 S. Main St., Sherburne. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Sherburne Quarter Cemetery, Sherburne.  Friends are invited and may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
