LINDA ANDERSON
ONEONTA – Linda Anderson, 50, of Oneonta passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with breast cancer, Monday, February 10, 2014 at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. She was born November 8, 1963, daughter of John Anderson and Eva (Moore) Warren of New Berlin.
Linda attended New Berlin School and worked at the Mirabito Station as a cashier for many years. Those who knew her, remember Linda as a strong, hardworking mother, nana and friend. She was very outgoing and family oriented. She loved spending time with her family and helping those who were dear to her, her children and grandchildren were the center of her world. Throughout her illness, Linda was a breast cancer advocate; she was always interested in helping others battling the disease.
Linda is survived by her mother Eva Warren and her husband Michael of Norwich, father John Anderson of Georgetown, daughters, Connie Penner and Mathew Billodeau of Cincinnatus, Erica Penner and Jeremy Green of West Virginia, Eva Anderson and Hai Nguyen of Unadilla and Tammy Anderson of Oneonta, beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Isaiah, Dominique, Jacob, Caleb, Justin, Keyonna and Kali, nieces and nephew Jessica Shultis and her family of Kingston, Dawn Perkins and her family of Symrna and John Anderson and his family of Richfield Springs, a special friend Doug Hurlburt of Oneonta and her aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home in Norwich, with Rev. Stephen Reese, Pastor of Columbus Corners Community Church, officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday.
