RUTH M. KUTIK
NORWICH – Ruth M. Kutik, 99, of Norwich, passed away on Jan. 6, 2014, at the NYS Veterans’ Home of Oxford, where she had made her home for the past several months.
Ruth was born in Rochester on Feb. 17, 1914, the daughter of Ruurd and Magdalena VanVlaanderen Kuipers. She continued to live in Rochester through her school years, graduating from the local high school. Ruth moved to Paterson, NJ, in 1932. They resided in Midland Park, NJ until moving to Norwich, NY in 1986 after the birth of their third grandchild. While a New Jersey resident, she worked as a purchasing agent for the Vanvlaanderen Machine Company and later did clerical work for Prudential Insurance Company. She also worked in receiving at Sears for five years.
Ruth is survived by her son, Charles Kutik and wife Karen of Guilford; by her grandchildren: Ammie Boudet and husband Roger of Norwich, Ruth Ann Andreacchi and husband Doug of Florida, Levi Johnsen of Guilford, and Gregory Johnsen of Brooklyn; and her great grandchildren: Lily Boudet, and Anthony and Giuliana Andreacchi. She was predeceased by her husband Charles, and her grandson, Kevin Kutik.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Sat., Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. from the Berean Bible Church in Greene. Interment will be at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by the R. J.
