SOUTH NEW BERLIN – William L. Salisbury, 71, of South New Berlin, passed away July 20, 2009 at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1938 in Amblerville, the son of Grover and Iva (Lawrence) Salisbury. He spent his childhood in the New Berlin & South New Berlin areas and attended South New Berlin Central School.
On Feb. 8, 1958, he married Bernice Backus, who survives.
William was employed as a plater for BF Goodrich of Norwich.
Besides his wife, Bernice, William is survived by a son, Harold A. Salisbury of South New Berlin; grandchildren: Melissa Hose, Amanda Salisbury and Melinda Salisbury; great-grandchildren: Justice Salisbury and Steven Baker III; and a sister, Evelyn Wipple of New Berlin.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Marge Johnson and Bertha Wipple.
A private funeral service will be held for the family with Pastor Kurt Funke presiding.
Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery of South New Berlin.
