Sylvia was a very active and long-time member of the Norwich Home Bureau and the Norwich Garden Club, and had been a member of the Broken Squares square dancers for 25 years. She is survived by her husband Jack, her son Michael, her sister Rose-Marie Franklin, and her brother, Howard Franklin and his wife Cheryl, all of Norwich; by grandchildren Katie LoVette of Norwich, Kayla LoVette of Sherburne, and Isaiah and Dustin Christophersen of Preston; and by her great grandson, Brandon Davenport of Sherburne. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Peter Christophersen of Preston; by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard and Jane LaTourette of Oxford, Florence Gee of Coming, and Harry LoVette of Ithaca; and by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sylvia was predeceased by her son, Malcolm LoVette, in 2004, and her daughter, Jeanette Christophersen, in 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday from the Bible Baptist Church of Norwich. The Rev. Ralph Hinman, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the J.D. Lewis Cemetery of Preston. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
