Richard T. Cozzolino, 79, of New Lisbon, passed away at M.I. Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown on Jan. 20, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn the son of Salvatore and Harriett (Scudder) Cozzolino.
Dick served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Patricia Patterson for more than 53 years. He was a chemist with the Norwich Pharmaceutical Co. for 38 years, retiring in 2007.
Dick was an avid runner, having competed in the New York Marathon and also the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. He also enjoyed country music and loved good Italian food. He also enjoyed his animals and planting trees, and was well known for his very dry sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of New Lisbon, his daughters, Cathie Berezowski (Andy) and Chrisie Cozzolino, and his two grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Berezowski. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Johnston Funeral Home at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Nancy Stanley officiating.
