Irene C. Meyers, 74, of Route 12, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at her home.
She was born December 27, 1939 in Plainfield, NY, a daughter of Gordon and Gladys Hull Johnson and was a graduate of Sherburne Schools. Irene had worked for Stoops Trucking in Indiana; Chesebrough Ponds in Sherburne, and for a brief time, the Valley View Nursing Home in Norwich.
Surviving are her children, Charles, Jr., and Sue Wilcox of Bridgewater; Deborah and Michael Bush of Sherburne; Mark and Jane Wilcox of Nelson; John and Julie Warren of Ward, AR; sister and brother-in-law, Janette and Robert Anderson of German, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Cheryl Johnson of North Norwich; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Daryl Wilcox.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm Friday, January 10, 2014 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St. Sherburne.
Spring interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
