DANIEL R. McCARTHY
SHERBURNE – Daniel R. “Dano” McCarthy, 45, of Sherburne, died Monday, December 23, 2013 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
He was born September 5, 1968 in Norwich and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. Dan was a union carpenter with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 0277 of Syracuse. He was an avid outdoorsman with many friends who enjoyed hunting. Dan also loved his camp at the Lebanon Reservoir, and of course his pontoon boat. He also loved gardening, as many of you who tasted his mustard know. He was a great fan of the NY Jets and had quite a passion for NASCAR. He was a great friend to all. To know him was to love him.
Surviving are his true love, Julia Andrews; children, Tabatha, Trevor and Logan; Dylan and Logan Andrews-Martineau; his mother, Linda Cole; and brother, David McCarthy. He was predeceased by his father, Gordon Cole; and his maternal grandparents, Dick and Dolores Swartout.
Private services for the family will be held Friday December 27, 2013, and a celebration of his life for all who loved him and his family will be held in Hamilton at the Colgate Inn on Saturday, December 28, from 4-7 p.m.
