JAMES MIRABITO
SHERBURNE – James F. Mirabito, 72, formerly of Maydole Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Sherburne.
Born May 30, 1941 in Norwich, Jim was the son of Felix and Virginia (Hamilton) Mirabito. While in Norwich High School he was a member of the football team. Following his schooling, Jim worked for thirty-five years for Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals as a pipefitter. He also worked for the Norwich Fire Department and the Chenango County Sheriff’s Department. He retired in 2003.
For most of his life, Jim loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was also quite an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and camping.
In 2003, Jim married Terry Rifanburg, of Endicott, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Lisa Russell and her husband, Allen, Lori Mirabito and Michele Mirabito, all of Norwich; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
It was Jim’s request that there be no formal funeral services.
