MARY LEWIS
DeRUYTER – Mary E. Lewis, 53, of DeRuyter, passed away unexpectedly on Sat. morning, Dec. 14, 2013 at her home.
Mary was born in Cortland on June 2, 1960 the daughter of Eugene and Eleanor Greene Lewis. She was educated in the Otselic Valley School from which she graduated. Mary spent her entire life in the Otselic area and had been employed by the Gladding Corp. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzels, watching her favorite TV programs and sittting on her deck watching the birds.
Mary is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Frank and Sue Lewis of DeRuyter, her comapanion of over 20 years Gary Angell of DeRuyter and his family, her nieces Crystal Jackman and husband Bruce of Rocky Mount, NC, Dana Keppler and husband Will of Smithfield, NC and 6 great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mary will beheld on Friday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. from the R.J Fahy Funeral Home. Pastor Mitch Mullenax, Pastor of the Common Gounds Fellowship will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in the Valley View Cemetery of So. Otselic. There will be no calling hours.
