MUNNSVILLE – Susan B. Hadlock, 43, Haslauer Road, died Monday, July 13, 2009, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, shortly after her admission as a medical patient.
Born in Norwich, on May 6, 1966, she was the daughter of Norman C. and Lois Bigford Hadlock. A resident of Munnsville for the past three years, Susan was educated in Sherburne-Earlville and Vernon-Verona-Sherrill schools. She married Harold “Digger” Deraway in 1984 and after separating was reunited in 2006.
Susan was employed with Stockbridge Valley Central Schools. She was a member of the Munnsville Post 54 American Legion Auxiliary and Post 54 Legion riders and enjoyed her family and friends.
Surviving besides her companion, Digger Deraway, are two daughters, Shaina L. Hadlock and Brianna L. Woodley, both at home; one sister and brother-in-law, Stacey and Kip Law of Sherburne; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott A. and Paula Hadlock of Smyrna, Steven C. and Sandra Hadlock of Munnsville and Shayne W. and Holli Hadlock of Hubbardsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Ray Lighthall, officiating. Interment will be made in South Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, prior to the funeral service.
