Jacqueline (Jackie) Sayles, 34, of East Pharsalia passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 17, 2013, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Jackie was born in Norwich on Aug. 8, 1979 the daughter of Carol Parker Sayles and Martin Sayles. She had lived her entire life in the area and was a 1998 graduate of the Norwich High School. During her high school years Jackie was very much about volleyball where she was a member of the school’s volleyball team. Any of her classmates or teammates could always tell she was around by her cackle when she laughed. A 12 year employee of the NY Central Mutual Fire Ins. Company, she worked as a claims clerk where she was respected by all.
Jackie was all about her family, was a #1 mom and at times could be quite a jokester. She enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors and enjoyed her hunting.
Jackie is survived by her daughter Brooke Paige Rogers, her mom Carol Sayles of East Pharsalia, her dad Martin Sayles of Smyrna, her fiancee of many years Marc Rogers of Smyrna, her sisters Andrea Schmidt and husband Mark of Sherburne and Lisa Sayles of Alaska. Also surviving is a niece Maranda Schmidt as well as her “in-law-family” Bev and Dave Rogers along with the entire Rogers family.
A celebration of life for Jackie will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2 pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Sunday from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
