MT. UPTON – Pearl E. Hitchcock, 76, formerly of Mt. Upton, passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Countryside Care Center, Delhi.
She was born July 25, 1928, a daughter of Charles and Mabel Townsend Gazer. Pearl was married to Irvin Hitchcock who predeceased her. She was a homemaker and had lived in Sherburne for several years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Myron; a sister, Wilma Cappadonia of Sherburne; a brother, Ellery Gazer of Norwich; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Esther and three brothers, Richard, Maynard and Myron Gazer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in the Maplewood Cemetery, Mt. Upton.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m prior to the service.
