Bruce Norris


PORT CRANE – Bruce H. Norris, 69, of Port Crane, went to be with his Lord Saturday, June 20, 2009, after a brief illness.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Marion (Grover) Norris; son, Bruce Norris, Jr.; three brothers, Gerald, Charles and Frank; a sister, Barbara Brigham. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Patricia Norris; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Vittorino Giurastante; granddaughters, Maria and Marlaina; son, Robert Costello; sisters, Patricia Eldred, Maryln and Allan Christian, Nancy Beckwith, Myra Markham and Pete Gilbert and Linda and John Daniels; aunt, Henrietta Perry; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and George Becker and their son, Robert Becker; several nieces, nephews & cousins; and beloved pet dogs, Misty, Polly and Sparky.
He was a 10 year Marine veteran and retired as a Master Seargant from the Air National Guard, 174th TFW “The Boys from Syracuse “ after 26 years of service. Bruce lived life to the fullest and had a way of making everyone he knew feel special. He loved traveling but most of all he loved the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all of them.
A prayer service will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson with a funeral mass to follow at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
