NORWICH – Adam J. Knickerbocker, 9, of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2009 at Chenango Memorial Hospital. He was born on Aug. 24, 1999, the son of Ellen Lord and Carl Knickerbocker.
He is survived by his mother, Ellen Lord of Norwich; his father, Carl Knickerbocker of Binghamton; his sisters and brother, Savanna, Cassie and Scott Knickerbocker all of Norwich; special friend Steve Hulbert of Harpursville; his aunts and uncles, Sue Wakefield of Norwich, Linda Ontiveros of Norwich, Rick Wakefield of Edison, N.J., Scott Wakefield of Baltimore, Md., Karen Knickerbocker of Binghamton and Fred and Sue Hill of Norwich. Several cousins also survive.
 Adam attended the Chenango BOCES in Norwich. He was a very happy boy, who loved his family, life and especially his teachers at BOCES. He loved “Sponge Bob” and rewinding tapes.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, with Rev. Brian Conover, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
