Joyce Manwarren


NORWICH – Joyce Marie Manwarren, 56, of Norwich, passed away late Thursday evening, April 23, 2009, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital, after struggling for years with an illness.
The daughter of Raymond and Vivian King Howe, Joyce was born in Norwich in March of 1953 and attended school in Oxford. A wonderful homemaker who took pride in her beautiful home, Joyce always enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She liked playing cards, going to her brother Billy’s, and singing karaoke.
Joyce will be dearly missed by her survivors: Children and their spouses: Penny and Tom Stenzel of Buffalo, Pauline and Tim McAuliff of Buffalo, Peggy and J.R. Brewer of Preston, Patricia and Charles Rose of East Pharsalia, and Connie Mirabito and companion Mark Breckenridge, Greg and Amber Manwarren, and Mark Manwarren and companion Nichole Miller, all of Norwich; brothers and their spouses: David and Eunice Howe of Sherburne, Timothy and Dorothy Howe, Billy and Carolyn Howe, and Wynn Howe and companion Tina Nisbett, all of Norwich, and Bobby Howe of Binghamton; and her sister, Karen Howe and companion Mike Kline of Norwich. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and Joyce’s very close friend, Mary King. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, sisters Rose Ann Howe and Linda Copp, her daughter Tammy Pastol, and brother Butchy.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held at noon on Tuesday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph Hinman, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in the J.D. Lewis Cemetery of Preston. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at noon.
