CHENANGO FORKS – Richard L. Gregory, 77, of State Route 369, formerly of Sherburne, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton.
He was born May 15, 1931 in Brooklyn, a son of Raymond and Helen Lowell Gregory. He graduated from Congers High School in 1949. In 1951, he entered the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and served until 1955. Richard was employed by Continental Phone Company for many years. He also owned and operated a dairy farm in South New Berlin for many years. His last employment was with Standard Printed Circuits of Sherburne until his retirement in1980. He loved his computer and spent many hours on it.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Kevin Murphy of New Berlin; a granddaughter, Nicole Murphy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Mary Gregory of MA; David and Rachel Gregory of Chenango Forks; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday from St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne, followed by interment with military honors in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call from noon until 1:30 Wednesday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
