Donald Leas


NORWICH – Donald E. Leas, 59, of Norwich and formerly of Lancaster County, Penn., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2009, at his home.
The son of Ervin and Mary Derr Leas, Jr., Don was born in Sept. of 1949 in Lancaster, Penn. While growing up in that area, he attended and graduated from the Mt. Joy School. Don served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969 through 1971 in Germany, and returned home following his honorable discharge. He was employed for a number of years by the R&S Manufacturing Co. in Columbia, Penn., makers of fans, then relocated to the Norwich area in Oct. of 1991, remaining there through the present.
Don is survived by his brother, David Leas, of Lancaster and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Don will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, pastor of the Earlville Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be on Tuesday in the Indian Town Gap National Cemetery of Annville, Penn. Friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
