Donald Copeland


McDONOUGH – Donald F. Copeland, 72, of McDonough passed away at his home on April 3, 2009. 
He was born on April 15, 1936 in the Town of Union, the son of the late Harold and Edna (Caldine) Copeland.  On July 27, 1996 he married the former Deborah Cook, who survives.
Besides his wife, Deborah, he is survived by his children, Eileen and Christopher Doppel of Burdett, Jeanette LeClair of Brasher Falls, Annette and Randy Rogers of Montrose, Pa. and step-daughter Cassandra Frasier of Richmond, Va.; his brother Robert Copeland of Cazenovia; his sister, Lois and Jack Rounds of Greene; four brothers-in-law, Harold Williams, Milton and Renee Williams, Curtis and Wilma Williams, and Marvin and Rosa Williams, 16 grandchildren and a special friends Candy Burke. He was predeceased by his brother Eddie, nephew Mark and granddaughter Toni Copeland.
Don retired from IBEW 1249 in Syracuse.  He was a member of the Oxford Rod and Gun Club. He loved to race garden tractors and being outdoors hunting.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, with Pastor Gregory Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until the time of the services.
