ALFRED CHASE
SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Alfred W. Chase, “Warren,” 68, of South New Berlin, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Sept. 13, 2006 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
The son of Alfred B. and Dorothy (Landry) Chase, Warren was born in Queens on June 6, 1938. He lived most of his adult life in the New York City/Long Island area, including 18 years as a resident of Shirley, Long Island, prior to moving to South New Berlin in the spring of 2006. From 1955 through 1958, Warren served his country in the U.S. Army. For 33 years, he was head mechanic for Behr Cadillac, a job he was very proud to hold. He then worked for five years as a solderer for Symbol Tech of Long Island, from which he retired in 2002. A nature lover and an avid hunter, Warren loved the outdoors. He was well liked and respected by those who knew him.
On June 22, 1993, in Suffolk County, Warren married Geraldine Mosscrop. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Chase of South New Berlin; by his children: Karen Del Priore of South New Berlin, daughters Rhonda and Loreen, and son Kenneth; by his brother, Kenneth Chase of Maryland, and by many friends. Warren was predeceased by his sister, Karen Wolf.
Funeral services for Warren will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Cunningham, pastor of the Church of the Holy Apostles, will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
