NORWICH – Virginia F. Ellison, a resident of Wood River Village, formerly of Norwich, died Thursday March 19, 2009 at St. Mary Medical Center at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert T. Ellison.
Born in Brooklyn, Virginia was a daughter of the late George and Mildred Lupton Fischer. She had been involved in many community activities and was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother.
Virginia is survived by a daughter, Christine E. Syfert; a son Thomas S. Ellison; three granddaughters, Karen E. Bartkowski, Bethany E. Pugh and Christie E. VonDreele; and four great grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private.
