Sally Morrone


NORWICH – Funeral services for Sally Morrone were held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at St. Bartholomew’s Church. Rev. Douglas Cunningham, Pastor, celebrated a Mass of Resurrection. 
Mass began with Sally’s husband, Tom, and her children, Mary Anne Dean, Kimberly Mack and Tom Morrone, Jr. placing the baptismal pall upon the casket.  Sally’s Rosary beads were then positioned on the pall by sisters-in-law, Ann Morrone and Mary Keegan. The readings for the Mass were proclaimed by son, Tom Morrone Jr. and his wife, Ann as well as Jan Papelino. God Daughter, Geneanne Smith, presented the offertory gifts.
The organist for the service was Susan Ticknor and the soloist was Bertha DeFonzo. Playing the bagpipes was Stephen Cady. George Zieno was the altar server. The casket bearers were grandson Thomas Dean as well as Hank Scudder, Cliff Crouch, Joe McBride, Jim Dunne and Al Kochersperger.
Entombment will take place in the spring in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
The arrangements were under the direction of the Wilson Funeral Home.
