Carol Ricciuti


NORWICH – Carol Ricciuti, 44, of Gilmore Lane, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.
Born May 20, 1964 in Camden, N.J., Carol was the daughter of William and Mary Jane (White) Ricciuti. She moved to Norwich in 1995 and worked for seven years for Price Chopper before joining Gingerbread Playhouse Day Care where she remained until ill health forced her retirement. Carol loved her pets and anything related to the Harry Potter books or movies.
Carol is survived by her mother and step-father, Mary Jane and James Mitros of Norwich; five sisters and their husbands, Jamie Ricciuti and Dominick Sposito of Ballston Lake, Christine and Aric Copeland of Binghamton, Jennifer and Edwin Smith of Fort Plain, Veronda and Robert Baird of Winchester, VA and Theresa and James Bender of Thorofare, N.J.; three brothers and their wives, John and Kathleen Ricciuti of Alloway, N.J., William and Denise Ricciuti of Hanford, Calif. and Louis and Melissa Ricciuti of Dover, Pa. She is also survived by her best friend, Cathi Bradley of Norwich and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father, William Ricciuti and friend, George Bradley.
A memorial service for Carol will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Wilson Funeral Home. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will take place at a later date in Columbus Corners Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carol may be made to:  Patient Care Fund, Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY  13905.
