NORWICH – Laura J. Gould, 47, of Norwich, passed away Tuesday evening, Sept. 5, 2006.
The daughter of James Tucker and Patricia Copp, Laura was born on Oct. 9, 1958, in Endicott, and grew up in Windsor. Following her graduation from Windsor High School, she attended Broome Community College where she earned her associate’s degree in child education. Laura worked for 20 years as a therapy aide for Broome Developmental prior to moving to Norwich about 10 years ago. As a Norwich resident, she worked as a teacher’s aide for Norwich High School. Laura was a loving, caring, and outgoing person, and had a deep love of music.
Laura is survived by her children: Elissa, Grant and James Gould, and by her mother, Patricia Copp, all of Norwich; by her father and step-mother, James and Janice Tucker of Zephyrhills, Fla.; by her brother, Brian Tucker of Harpursville, sisters Rene Reed and her husband Brad of Brackney, Pa., and Jane Tucker of Phoenixville, Pa.; and a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private funeral services for Laura will be held at the convenience of her family. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
