NORWICH – Audrey A. Breward, 90, formerly of Locust Street, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 in the Chenango Memorial Nursing Home.
Born April 3, 1918 in East Masonville, Audrey was the daughter of Ira and Harriette (Teed) Albrecht. She lived her early years in Unadilla and later moved to Mt. Upton. In 1954, Audrey and her late husband, Stanley, moved to Norwich where they established Breward’s Landscaping Service. Audrey was the company’s bookkeeper for several years until it was sold in 1982 to Horstman’s Nursery.
On May 13, 1950, in Montrose, Pa., Audrey married Stanley Breward. Stanley died on June 1, 1985. She is survived by a step-daughter, Edith Brundage of Walkill, and a step-granddaughter, Rhonda Henderson, living in Scotland. Audrey was predeceased by a brother, Alden T. Albrecht.
Graveside services for Audrey will be held in the spring in Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Upton.
