GREENE – Dorothy M. Kirkby, 93, of 8 Matteson St., Greene, died at Lourdes Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter on Aug. 7, 1992; parents, Ivan A. and Eva M. Boyce; two sisters, Nellie Ferguson and Florence Brooks; three brothers, Russell, Edward and Newton Boyce.
She is survived by a sister, Frances Brown, Greensboro, N.C.; many nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Patty (Fred) Heisler, Smithville, and Amy Boyce, Endwell.
Dorothy enjoyed her flowers and walking her little white dog around the village. She lovingly took care of her husband, Walter for many years at their home while he was an invalid. She was employed by Bramen Industries for 27 years as a welder.
Private services will be held at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene.
