Nathan Bradybaugh


OXFORD – Nathan C. Bradybaugh, 92, of Oxford, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at the NYS Veterans’ Home, Oxford. 
He was born on July 6, 1916 in Minister, Pa., the son of the late John and Marjorie (Irwin) Bradybaugh, the youngest of eight children. On Jan. 30, 1948 in the Kane Methodist Church, Kane, Pa., he married Helen D. Gadley.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of Oxford and several nieces and nephews.
He attended school in Marienville, Pa. He was a foreman for Asplundh Tree Co., retiring in 1979 after over 38 years of service.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the 3rd Infantry Field Artillery. He served in Europe is major several battles. While in Bavaria, he met his brother Frank. They had not seen each other if six years. He liked to raise a large garden. He also enjoyed deer and turkey hunting in Pennsylvania and moose hunting in Canada and New Foundland.  He was a life member of the Norwich Elks Club. He was a member of the Norwich American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Marienville, Pa.
There will be no visiting hours or funeral services. Burial will be at a later date in Muzzett Cemetery, Muzzett, Pa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford.
