PLYMOUTH – Fayette E. Franklin, 85, of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 9, 2008 at his home.
Fayette was born in July of 1923, the son of Fayette and Eva Johnson Franklin in East Pharsalia. He grew up in the Otselic area and attended school in South Otselic. In the early 1940s, he moved to Beaver Meadow and eventually relocated to Plymouth, where he made his home for the past 40 to 45 years. A great conservationist, Fayette was a lover of nature and enjoyed spending time alone. He had worked for 42 years for Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals and its successors.
As anyone could tell be being in and around his home, his favorite colors were red, white and blue.
Fayette is survived by his brother Benjamin (Fern) Franklin of Plymouth along with many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his sisters Adah Barker, Lois Coleman and Ruby Franklin; and his brothers Johnson, Paul, Wallace and Deward Franklin.
At Fayette’s request, there will be no formal funeral service.
