SHERBURNE – Mary T. Lawrence, 94, of Lawrence Rd., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1914 in Sherburne, a daughter of Peter and Roseanna Doyle Lawrence and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. Mary worked in the mortgage department of the Binghamton Savings Bank in Norwich until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne, where she was the church historian and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving is a sister, Christine L. Cahill of Sherburne; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Judy Lawrence, James Lawrence and Dorothy Lawrence, all of Sherburne; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, John and Bernard Lawrence, and three sisters, Catherine Lawrence, Anne Lawrence and Margaret Boyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. Saturday from St. Malachy’s Church, East State St., Sherburne.
Interment will be in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
The Rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
