EATON – Lillian Westcott Crowell, 72, of Eaton passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1936 in Cazenovia, a daughter of the late Irving and Katherine Faulkner Westcott. She was a graduate of Mt. Upton High School and attended the Utica School of Commerce where she was a business major. On April 7, 1956, Lillian was married to James J. Crowell in Mt. Upton. Mrs. Crowell worked at the Edward R. Andrews Elementary School in Morrisville, retiring in 1998. She had also worked at the Gerrit Smith Infirmary (now Crouse Community Center) until 1995.
Lillian was an active member of the Eaton Community bible Church, where she taught Sunday school and always volunteered to help with church suppers. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling and reading.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, James; her children, Yvonne and Scott Betts of Hamilton; James and Diane Crowell of Morrisville; Jeffrey Crowell of Eaton; Yvette and Richard Bowie of Hamilton; Jason and Jamie Crowell of Hamilton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Catherine and Carlton Odell of Guilford and Caroline Brennan of Endicott; a brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Delores Westcott of Guilford; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Eaton Community Bible Church.  Interment will be in the Eaton Village Cemetery.
Friends are invited and may call on Monday (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home 25 Broad St. Hamilton.
