SMYRNA – Richard Taber passed away on Nov. 27, 2008 at his home, surrounded by family, friends and his dogs. He is now with his dearest and best friend, his dad, Harry Strong Taber, who predeceased him on Nov. 19, 2008.
Loving husband to Bernice O’Brien-Taber; father to Mark and Mandy Taber, Dawn Taber and Brian Reinberger, Pamela and Patrick Houk, John and Donna Slawsky, Tommy Slawsky, and Shannon O’Brien and Deepak Merchendindi; adored Grampy of Emily and Andrew Taber, Samantha and Brianna Taber, Patrick and Alexander Houk, Ivan and Angus Slawsky, and Sapphire Slawsky and Dylan Henderson; brother of Philip and Ronald Taber; son of Naomi and Harry Strong Taber.
Richie leaves behind so many “Little Brothers” it is impossible to count. He is a past Grange Master of the Smyrna Grange and Junior Grange. Wherever there were kids, Richie was there to help them. Family, children and coon hounds were his joys. He lived life to the fullest, as can be witnessed by the circle of friends and family he leaves behind.

There was a celebration of Richie’s life on Sunday at the Norwich Grange Hall.
Arrangements were by the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home of Sherburne.
